Online BlackJack versus Live BlackJack

I hate playing BlackJack online for a number of reasons.
First it is a statistically break even game where no matter how hot you are running the cards will always turn back around.
Second, when you play BlackJack live you can see the shoe and the other cards people are catching which is a major advantage especially to a card counter. Most of the time online you are playing against the house yourself and if you are at a multi-hand table the people playing with you are playing for themselves. When you play at a live table there is a certain social atmosphere that applies pressure to the player at third base to make the statistically correct call. Online it is every player for him/herself.
If you are going to play online BlackJack then google up the wizard of odds website and read the player reviews and reports on the RNG that the site you want to play at uses. There are an unbelievable number of ways that these sites can shuffle the cards find one that uses a shuffle algorythm that fits your style. As a final point remember that you are playing 5-10 times the number of hands that you would live and the hot and cold streaks will appear more often and the double up while you are losing technique will break you.

BPT Season #2: Aussie Millions

PureChaos pulled off a maniac miracle and won the trip to Austrailia and the $10K seat in the Aussie Millions. He has taken alot of heat the last two seasons because of his all or nothing style of play but on his blog he makes a valid defense. I only wish him the best in the Aussie Millions however having played against him before I can only predict an early out.

Poker Goals 2007: I have a dream.

Poker Goals: I have a dream
Every year I try to sit down and knock out some goals for me to work toward for the upcoming year. This year I have personal goals which will of course remain personal but here are a few of my goals as a Poker Player.
1. Never ever Bonus Chase again. (While the money can be good it is really not worth the time and effort at an hourly rate.)
2. Win a seat in the WSOP or equivalent $10,000 buy in tournament. (I came very close last year and it was quite frustrating.)
3. Be patient, avoid tilt and never play when angry. Huge leaks for me.
4. Never be afraid to bet.
5. Slow play the nuts.
6. Never tap the glass.
7. Play poker 50% Live and 50% online.
8. Tip the dealers and waitresses more.
9. Never be afraid to fold.
10. No more "What the hell, I want to see his hand" calls.
Finally, make the effort worth the time. Four hours for a $20 freeroll payout is ridiculous.

Porkrind Poker Tour: Sit and Go Tournaments

Hey all,
I am going to set up some private Sit and Go tournaments just for people who sign up for the Blogger Poker Tour through me. Kind of like a "Porkrind Poker Tour". I really like the Poker.com site and the BPT is my favorite league. Once we get 10 or so players signed up then I think I might start adding some extra to the prize pool.
If you are interested just email me at robert@porkrindsgrind.com. I will start setting everything up. I already have 3 interested local players...

Current PPT List:
Porkrind333
JLCBraves
PJB111

Peace out.

Porkrind Dot Com

This is a cute site about everything Porkrind. I was going to buy the name but this guy already owns it. Check out the Porkrind Porn Page. LOL

I am working on a review of my new LG CU500 3G cell phone for next week...............

BPT Event #7: Deepstack Donking

Unfortunately I am stuck at a table with the current tourney chip leaders who are both major gamblers. I can not play positon poker and have only been able to keep my starting chipstack. I hate it when I get seated to the left of two BPT badge winners and everyone to my right is either freeroll bingo players or bigstack bullies. "Tight is Rght" for the time being. Lets hope the table breaks soon and I get a better seating..................
First Break:
112 BPTers Started
92 remaining
44 my current position

OOPS!!!!
The first lesson you should ever learn is you cannot bluff a big stacked donkey off of bottom pair! (LuvtheGame: just went all in on a gut shot straight draw against a set of Aces and hit it)
I went all the way down to 500 chips trying. I short stack bingoed my way back to 3000 but the blinds are starting to bite.

I am out in 72nd. You just can not play poker with a monster stack retard at your table. LuvtheGame is possibly the worst player I have ever seen. However there is a very large advantage to having a huge chip lead and being able to make 'What the hell' calls when the short stack bingo phase begins.

Good Luck everyone and hope to see you all next season.

Peace

BPT Event #7

Well today is the last event in the second season of the Blogger Poker Tour "Aussie Millions". I am kind of upset because I only played a few events and a solid top 30% showing throughout the season would have earned me a seat in the Tournament of Champions. I have really improved my live game lately and my sit n go performance has improved as well. I got my ray bans, free I-pod and my hoodie pulled down tight so watch out folks the porker is back!!!!!!
