Movember Update and the Monday Night Poker League

This is going to be a bit longer post than I usually throw up here since there is a lot going on right now. You can scroll down for our poker league updates.

CarbonPoker is currently running a Thanksgiving Jackpot for Sit and Go Tournament players. While it is a bit late to catch up with the point leaders you can take advantage of the really bad weak tight players that are in it for the points. I won a few $10 SNGs yesterday just in time to pad my bankroll there. It is a nice promotion that really bumped up the mid limit play there.

All is well with my Wednesday night Poker League again. I am in the top ten on points and should cruise into the final invite only event for the trophy. The league director and I made nice with each other.

I cashed over on FullTilt a couple of times last week. Once again just enough to keep me from depositing again. My stats on the Tilt account are really going along well. I am just looking for that one really deep run in a decent sized event there. It is going to happen eventually but I have to admit running into Donkey Big Stacks on the bubble is really getting on my nerves.

My live play has been brutally unspectacular. In my monthly live league last week on the very first hand my flopped straight ran into a slow played set that caught its paired board on the river for a "River Boat". I hate it when the entire table limps to you in the BB and you catch the nut straight for free. Half the table went all in on the flop. Two sets, TPTK and an open ended Straight Flush draw!!!!!! I knew I was doomed before the Turn and River cards were dealt. I had to dodge just about every card in the deck. Next time I do a Phil Helmuth and sit out the first couple of orbits til things settle down.

My online friend Skinski appears to be holding his own without facial hair this month. If you have not read my post about his November challenge "Movember" I invite you to take him up on it. It is a good cause.
